THE SHED GONE FIELD GUIDE
Your photos. Your control.
What we collect when you ask Shed Gone for a shed removal quote, how we use it, and how to delete it. Last updated October 8, 2026.
Who we are
Shed Gone runs shedgone.com. We quote and do shed removals ourselves. Questions or requests about your information: reply to any email we sent you about your request, or use your private request page.
What we collect
When you send a quote request we store what you enter: your name, email, phone number (optional unless you ask for texts), ZIP code, details about the shed (material, size, condition, contents, connected utilities and what should happen to the base), how to get it out, your notes and up to 4 photos. If you came from one of our city pages we also store that city. We store the time you agreed and the exact consent wording you saw, a scrambled one-way code made from your IP address (used to stop abuse, not to identify you) and a history of what happened to your request: the quotes we sent, whether you accepted, the date you prefer, and any questions you send us from your request page. If you allow AI photo reading, we also store that choice and the AI’s summary of your photos, which only Shed Gone sees. We don’t ask for your street address in the form.
How we use it
We use your request to quote your removal, answer your questions, agree a date with you and do the job. We email you about your request, and text you only if you agreed to texts. We never share your request details with other companies. Companies listed in our city guides never receive your request.
Photos
Your browser shrinks photos to a JPEG before upload, which also removes location and camera data stored in the file. Photos are kept in private storage that only Shed Gone can open. Only photograph the shed, the way out and the base, from outside. Avoid people, house numbers, license plates and documents. Don’t go inside a damaged shed, climb on the roof or open electrical panels to take photos. A photo you choose in a “Take or choose a photo” button on another page is held briefly in your browser and carried into the quote form; it is removed from that temporary storage as soon as the form receives it.
Who processes your information
Shed Gone: a person reviews every request, and our dashboard requires a sign-in. Cloudflare: website hosting, request and photo storage, the “I’m human” check and the sign-in for our dashboard. Resend: sends our emails to you. Anthropic (Claude), only if you leave the AI box ticked: each photo you add is sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI to check that it’s usable and to read what it clearly shows, such as the shed’s material and size and what it sits on, so the form can fill those answers in for you to check. After you send your request, your photos and shed and access answers are sent again so we get a short summary of what our crew needs to know. Your name, email and phone are never sent to Anthropic. If you untick the box, or add no photos, nothing is sent to Anthropic. These providers process your data only to run those services for us. The AI only describes what it sees. It doesn’t price your job, decide anything about your request or contact anyone. The AI box is separate from the request consent: you can untick it and still send a request.
Texts
If you add a mobile number and agree to texts, we may text you about your request, for example when your quote is ready or to confirm your removal date. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Consent to texts is not required to get a quote. We don’t send marketing texts and we don’t share your number.
How long we keep it
Requests and photos are deleted automatically 180 days after they are sent.
Delete or correct your request
Open the private link in your confirmation email and choose “Delete my request and photos.” Deleting removes your details, photos and links from Shed Gone right away, and cancels any removal date we agreed. Lost the link? The request page at shedgone.com/request/ can email you a new one, or reply to any email from us to delete or correct your request.
What we don’t do
No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies and no selling of your information. We never share your request with other companies. Links to sources and other companies’ websites go to other sites with their own privacy policies.
Preview copies of this form
If the quote form says “Preview only” after you send it, you are using a preview copy of the site: nothing is sent to Shed Gone or anyone else, and nothing is saved, on this device or anywhere else.
