Building, base and belongings

Specify whether the job includes the shell only, its floor and roof, or everything down to the foundation. Draw attention to any shelving and stored contents; an empty structure and a loaded storage shed are not the same scope.

Attachments change the assessment

A lean-to fixed to the house, a powered workshop and a freestanding resin shed should not share an automatic acceptance promise. Photos of attachment points and utility connections help establish the next assessment.

Your quote checklist

  • Approximate width, depth and height
  • Wood, metal, resin or mixed construction
  • Roof condition and any sagging walls
  • Electricity, plumbing or attached structures
  • Gate width, carry distance and vehicle access
  • Whether the floor, concrete pad and contents should stay
