SHED REMOVAL IN LAS VEGAS

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Las Vegas shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Las Vegas requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Las Vegas ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

03

We haul it away.

We confirm a date, take the shed down, load every piece and leave the spot clean.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Las Vegas asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Las Vegas rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Probably not up to 200 sq ft. The demolition permit covers structures that need a building permit, and sheds that size don't. Bigger sheds need one: $116 plan check plus $115 permit.

City pickup

Only in small pieces. Republic's every-other-week bulk pickup takes curbside items up to 6 feet long with no protruding nails. Its rules don't mention demolition debris.

Haul it yourself

Cheyenne Transfer Station (Republic Services). Not published. Republic says to call for current rates. Current Republic residential customers may qualify for free disposal of waste from their own home with a current bill and matching photo ID, under the franchise cities' codes.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: Above & Beyond publishes $250 to $400+ for a small resin shed and up to $1,450+ for a large wood one. LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559. Others quote each job.

Do I need a permit?Las Vegas demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

The demolition permit follows the building permit

The city's guideline says no structure that requires a building permit may be demolished without a demolition permit from Building & Safety. Its administrative code exempts one-story detached tool and storage sheds of 200 square feet or less from a building permit. The guideline doesn't name sheds, so for a borderline or wired shed call Building & Safety at (702) 229-6251.

02

Who can pull the permit, and what it asks for

Owner-builders can apply only for a single-family home they own and live in. Contractors need an A, A-13 or C-31 license. The application asks for a plot plan, a contractor's letter that utilities are disconnected, and a copy of the air quality dust permit. At final inspection the debris must be gone, the lot rough graded and utilities capped.

03

2024 codes apply to new submittals

The city adopted the 2024 building and residential codes with Southern Nevada amendments. Projects first submitted on or after January 5, 2026 must follow them.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Las Vegas pick up shed debris?

Not a whole shed. Republic Services runs bulk pickup every other week on your trash day for items that don't fit in the cart. Items must be no more than 6 feet long, at the curb, with no protruding nails or screws in wood; crews won't go onto private property. Republic's rules don't mention demolition debris. A one-time assorted trash pickup is $228.40 under the 2026-27 rate sheet. Call Republic at 702-735-5151.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Cheyenne Transfer Station (Republic Services)

315 W. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas, NV 89030

Republic Services transfer station open seven days a week. Republic does not publish an accepted-materials list online and says to call for one. It takes household electronics and kitchen appliances (no refrigerators) at no charge; refrigerators are taken for a fee.

Before you go: Open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week. Call 702-599-5624 to confirm it takes shed debris and what it costs.

Apex Regional Landfill (Republic Services)

13550 North US Highway 93, Las Vegas, NV 89165

Republic Services' regional landfill for Southern Nevada. Republic lists it as a regional facility but does not publish an accepted-materials list online; it says to call for the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials.

Fees: Not published. Republic says to call for current rates. City code in Republic's franchise cities lets current residential customers dispose of waste from their own home free at franchisee sites with a current bill and matching photo ID; ask the scale house whether that applies here.

Before you go: Open Monday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 702-599-5920 before you load, to confirm rates and that lumber, shingles and concrete are accepted.

SA Recycling, Western Ave. yard

1701 Western Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89102

Scrap metal yard that takes drop-offs from the general public with no appointment. Its consumer list names metal fencing, metal shelves, aluminum siding and gutters and metal window frames. Metal sheds are not named.

Fees: It buys scrap metal; prices are not published. A valid government photo ID is required to get paid.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to noon. Call 702-386-9575 to confirm it will take a taken-apart metal shed.

What else should I know in Las Vegas?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Only Republic or a licensed contractor may haul demolition debris for pay

City code makes it unlawful for anyone but the city, its franchisee (Republic Services) or their agents to collect or haul solid waste. Construction or demolition waste from tearing down a structure is the main exception: a duly licensed construction, construction cleanup or demolition contractor may haul it to a transfer station or disposal site. Homeowners may haul their own waste. The code does not name junk haulers, so ask any crew what license it holds.

Republic customers can dump their own household waste free

City code lets a single-family resident who is a current Republic customer dispose of waste from their own home free at Republic or city disposal sites in the urban service area. Bring your current quarterly bill and a government photo ID with a matching address. The free disposal does not cover waste from a hired company, even if you ride along.

Asbestos survey rules aim at NESHAP-covered buildings

Clark County's Division of Air Quality wants a separate demolition notification for each structure at least 10 working days ahead, with an asbestos survey for structures subject to the federal NESHAP rules. Its published rules don't say whether a backyard shed at a house is covered. Old cement-board siding is worth asking about: call DAQ at (702) 455-5942.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

How much does shed removal cost in Las Vegas?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Above & Beyond lists $550 to $850+ for a medium 8x10 to 10x12 wood or metal shed and quotes slab removal on site. LoadUp's range is $94 to $1,559. If your shed is over 200 square feet, add $231 in city demolition fees.

Can I haul the debris myself for free?

Possibly. If you are a current Republic customer at a single-family home, city code lets you dispose of waste from your own home free at Republic or city disposal sites in the urban service area, with your bill and a matching photo ID. Republic doesn't post what its sites accept, so call the Cheyenne Transfer Station at 702-599-5624 first.

Where can I take a metal shed?

SA Recycling's yard at 1701 Western Ave. takes scrap metal from the public with no appointment. Its list includes metal fencing, aluminum siding and metal window frames; a metal shed isn't named, so call 702-386-9575 first. Bring a photo ID to get paid.

Can any junk hauler take my shed away?

City code limits paid hauling of waste to Republic and its agents. The exception for demolition debris names duly licensed construction, construction cleanup and demolition contractors. Ask the crew what license it holds before you book.

Does the crew remove the concrete slab?

Ask in writing. Above & Beyond offers slab removal as an add-on quoted on site. The other listed companies don't say whether slabs are included.
