SHED REMOVAL IN SICKLERVILLE

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Sicklerville shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Sicklerville requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Sicklerville asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Sicklerville rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Likely yes. New Jersey makes it unlawful to demolish a structure without a permit, and Winslow Township's fee schedule lists a $150 demolition permit for a residential building.

City pickup

No. Winslow Township doesn't pick up construction debris at the curb, on trash day or on the monthly bulk day. It points residents to the Pennsauken landfill, a Bagster or a dumpster.

Haul it yourself

Camden County Landfill (Pennsauken). Charged by weight; the rate is not published online.

What it costs

Others here: Site Prep lists typical shed demolition costs of $300 to $2,500, depending on size. Junk Rescue quotes each job.

Do I need a permit?Sicklerville demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

Demolition needs a construction permit

Under the state Uniform Construction Code, N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.14(a), it is unlawful to demolish a structure without first applying to the construction official and getting a permit. Winslow's fee schedule lists $150 for a residential building demolition permit. The Construction Office is reached at (609) 567-0700, option 5.

02

The 200-square-foot shed waiver covers building, not demolition

N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.14(b)8 waives the building permit for garden-type sheds 200 sq ft or less and 10 feet or less tall with no water, gas, oil or sewer connection. It is written for building work and doesn't mention demolition. An electrical permit is still required when there is wiring.

03

Registered contractor on the application

When a contractor demolishes a structure on a home lot, New Jersey requires the contractor to hold a state home improvement registration and put the number on the permit application. For a demolition, the site plan must show what is coming down and what stays.

04

Call 811 three business days ahead

New Jersey law requires anyone digging to call New Jersey One Call at least three full business days before starting. That covers pulling posts, piers or anchors.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Winslow Township pick up shed debris?

No. Winslow's trash page says construction debris, including flooring, fencing and drywall, is not picked up curbside, on trash day or bulk day. Bulk pickup runs once a month on a Thursday tied to your trash day, for items like furniture. The township code limits special collections to items that up to two workers can handle. Contractors working on your property must take their own debris away.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Winslow Township Public Works yard

125 South Route 73, Braddock, NJ 08037

What else should I know in Sicklerville?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Sicklerville is governed by Winslow Township

Sicklerville is not a town of its own. It is an unincorporated community inside Winslow Township, Camden County, so Winslow's Construction Office, Public Works and township code apply. The 08081 ZIP code also reaches into parts of Gloucester Township and Washington Township; homes there follow those townships' rules instead.

Haulers need a Winslow license and state A-901 registration

There is no exclusive franchise for demolition debris in the township code. Instead, Winslow requires anyone in the business of collecting or disposing of solid waste to get an annual license from the Township Clerk, $10 per collection vehicle. At the state level, NJDEP says anyone hauling solid waste generated by someone else needs an A-901 license, while contractors hauling only waste they created at a work site need an A-901 exempt registration and decal on each vehicle.

Contractors register with the township

Winslow's code requires anyone in the business of demolishing buildings or structures, in whole or in part, to register with the Building Department, with a one-time $25 fee. An owner who does all the work without a contractor and signs a sworn statement doesn't need to register.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

What does a shed teardown cost in Sicklerville?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, Site Prep says a small shed typically runs $300 to $800, a medium one $500 to $1,200 and a large one $1,000 to $2,500, depending on scope, permit fees and disposal fees.

Where can I take shed debris myself?

Winslow sends residents to the Pennsauken landfill for construction debris. The City of Camden describes it as the Camden County Landfill in Pennsauken and says you're charged by weight; call (856) 665-8787 for rates and hours.

What about old paint, stain and chemicals from the shed?

Don't put them out with the trash. Winslow tells residents to call Camden County at (856) 858-5241 for its scheduled hazardous waste collection days. Propane tanks also go to a county household waste event, not Public Works.

Can I leave cut-up shed wood out for bulk day?

No. Winslow lists no construction-type debris among the things it collects on bulk day, and the township code allows special collection only of items not too bulky or heavy for up to two workers.

Who files the demolition permit?

Junk Rescue and Site Prep don't say on their pages that they pull Winslow demolition permits. If a contractor files, its state registration number goes on the application, and Winslow also expects demolition contractors to register with the township. Settle who files and pays before you book.
