We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your South Fulton shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what South Fulton asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

South Fulton rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Yes. City Code requires a permit to demolish any structure, and the fee schedule lists a $100 demolition permit. Call Development Services at 470-809-7200, ext. 1.

City pickup

No. Monthly bulk pickup refuses construction materials, and City Code says the owner must remove demolition debris at their own expense.

Haul it yourself

Merk Miles Citizens Convenience Center (City of South Fulton). Construction debris: residents $10 under 150 lbs, non-residents and commercial $20 under 150 lbs; everyone $60 for 151 to 500 lbs and $120 a ton after 500 lbs. Only residents may pay cash, for the first 150 lbs; everything else is card only.

Do I need a permit?South Fulton demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

A demolition permit costs $100

South Fulton's code requires anyone who wants to demolish a building or structure to apply to the building official and get a permit first. Development Services lists residential demolitions and sheds among the permits it handles through the SagesGov portal. The citywide fee schedule lists a demo permit at $100 on its own, or $75 as part of a building permit. The code doesn't exempt small sheds.

02

Who can pull the permit

A permit won't be issued to an owner who is neither a licensed contractor nor the occupant of the home. If you rent out the property and don't live there, the work needs a licensed contractor's permit.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will South Fulton pick up shed debris?

No. Waste Pro's monthly bulk pickup takes household items like furniture and appliances, up to 2 items not over 3 cubic yards, and lists construction materials among items it won't take. Schedule by the Wednesday before your bulk week at (470) 552-4311. City Code adds that bulk out of week or over one cubic yard costs $75 a cubic yard, and that the owner must remove demolition debris at their own expense.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

What else should I know in South Fulton?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Hauler rules: the City's exclusive collection stops at crew debris

City Code makes the City, through its contractor Waste Pro, the only collector of household and bulk waste in South Fulton, but it isn't responsible for waste from professional debris removal services. A separate rule requires a City tax occupation certificate to collect and dispose of municipal solid waste, and the code's definition of municipal solid waste leaves out construction and demolition waste. So the exclusive service doesn't cover a crew hauling away the shed it tore down.

The owner pays to remove demolition debris

South Fulton's code says the City won't collect or haul building material from demolishing an existing structure. The property owner must have it removed at their own expense, and it can't be set on public property unless a City building permit allows it.

Check that your address is in the City

South Fulton's rules apply only inside city limits, and nearby addresses with a South Fulton mailing name may be in Union City, Fairburn or Atlanta. Development Services asks permit applicants to confirm the address in its Zoning and Land Use Viewer before applying.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Where does a broken-up slab go?

Luck Stone's construction and demolition landfill at 5173 Pelican Dr. in College Park lists concrete, bricks, wood and metal among accepted waste, weekdays 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. It doesn't post rates or say it takes walk-up loads, so call (770) 909-8600 first.

Where can a metal shed go?
