Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Naperville shed apart and leave the space clean.
We check what Naperville requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL
Here’s what Naperville asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.
Yes. City code says no building or structure may be razed without a permit. The 150 sq ft exemption is for building small sheds, not tearing them down. Call (630) 420-6100, option 2.

Only a little at a time. Groot takes two 60-pound bundles or cans of wood or construction debris a week, so a whole shed needs a hauler.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in DuPage County. The other four companies quote after seeing the job or price by truck load.
The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗
Naperville Municipal Code 5-2B-3 says no building or structure, or major portion of one, may be razed without a permit from the Director of Transportation, Engineering and Development. The residential code's work-exempt list lets you build a one-story tool or storage shed up to 150 square feet without a permit, but it says nothing about demolition, and the City's permit guide lists demolition of a building as work that needs a permit.

The applicant must guard the site, show proof of insurance in an amount the City sets, and give written statements that utilities to the structure are disconnected. The 250-foot neighbor notice applies only to tearing down a principal home, not a shed.
The residential fee schedule lists demolition at $1,045, including plan review, construction site signage and two inspections. Section 5-2B-8 attaches site rules to every razing permit: a 6-foot chain-link fence, debris kept in a container, a portable toilet and a City-bought sign. The code doesn't carve out sheds, so ask the permit desk which of these it will apply to a backyard shed.

Only in small amounts. Groot collects limited remodeling and construction materials, including wood, each week. They must be in containers of 60 pounds or less or tied in bundles no bigger than 4 feet by 2 feet and under 60 pounds, with at most two cans, two bundles or one of each per week. At that pace a shed takes months, so most people hire a hauler or self-haul. Items that need two people to lift go by paid special pickup; call Groot at 630-892-9294.
If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗
213 Mettel Rd., Aurora, IL 60505
Kane County's drop-off directory lists it as taking general construction and demolition debris: roofing shingles, treated and untreated wood, insulation, metals, concrete, brick, block, drywall and more. That covers most of a wood shed. The listing doesn't say whether homeowners can drop off small loads.
Fees: Not published; the County says to call for the tipping fee.
Before you go: Listed hours: Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 6 a.m. to noon. Call 847-776-1500 before you load the truck.

The Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 156 Fort Hill Drive takes asbestos materials from Illinois residents for free, if they are triple bagged, fit in a 55-gallon drum and weigh no more than 50 pounds. It also takes oil-based paint and stain, pesticides, fertilizer, solvents, gasoline and propane tanks up to 20 pounds. It is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It does not take latex paint, wood or metal.
In Naperville's historic districts and on landmark properties, most exterior demolition needs a certificate of appropriateness. The code exempts any accessory building, naming sheds, that sits behind the principal building. A shed beside or in front of a historic house is not covered by that exemption.
Naperville Municipal Code 6-11-7: Certificate of appropriateness not required ↗
Naperville residents get electricity and water from the City itself. Before a razing permit is issued, the City wants written statements that electric, water, sewer and gas service to the structure has been disconnected by the people with authority to do it. If your shed has power or a water line, call City utility customer service at (630) 420-6059 to start that step before the crew comes.

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.
Get a shed removal quote ↗A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.
Start a quote from photos ↗Only LoadUp publishes a shed price for Naperville: $94 to $1,559 for DuPage County, with the exact price shown when you book. Ace Junk Removal Pros, Junk in the Truck and JUNK Relief give a price after looking at the shed, and College HUNKS quotes junk by the load. None of them says its price includes Naperville's razing permit.
The shed page gives a $94 to $1,559 range for DuPage County. The real price is shown when you book online, and it's lower for a shed that's already taken apart. Its national shed page says removal typically starts around $1,555; its local pages say an already-disassembled shed costs less.

Illinois EPA says the federal asbestos rules (NESHAP) don't apply to privately owned homes and apartments with four or fewer units. It still says asbestos should be removed before demolition, ideally by a licensed contractor. Old cement-board siding or roofing is the usual suspect on a shed.
None of the listed companies says it pulls Naperville razing permits. Because the permit asks for proof of insurance and utility disconnect letters, settle who files and who pays before you book.
Ace Junk Removal Pros, based in Naperville, says it demolishes sheds and cleans up the debris. Junk in the Truck does shed pickup, demolition and removal. JUNK Relief takes the roof, walls and floor apart and hauls them, but says it can't break up a concrete slab. LoadUp warns some light disassembly may be needed.
