SHED REMOVAL IN MARANA

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Marana shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Marana requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Marana ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

03

We haul it away.

We confirm a date, take the shed down, load every piece and leave the spot clean.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Marana asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Marana rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Yes. Marana asks for a permit application for any demolition work, with a $150 permit fee. The no-permit rule for sheds up to 200 sq ft covers building one, not tearing one down.

City pickup

No. The Town has no trash service; residents hire a private hauler. Ask yours before setting out shed debris.

Haul it yourself

Catalina Transfer Station (Pima County). Residential loads: $27.60 per vehicle under one ton; $48 a ton at or above one ton (County fee schedule effective Jan. 1, 2025). The schedule also lists a $25 uncovered load fee.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Pima County. Vista Clean lists trailer loads from $150 to $450 and Junk King prices by truck space; Hero quotes each job.

Do I need a permit?Marana demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

Demolition needs a permit; the shed exemption doesn't apply

Marana's permit guide says demolition work needs a permit application and checklist. The same guide lets you build a one-story detached shed or playhouse up to 200 sq ft, measured from the edge of the foundation, without a permit, but it lists no such exemption for demolition. Ask Development Services at (520) 382-2600 if your shed is small and unwired.

03

Asbestos goes through Pima County DEQ

Marana's checklist says Pima County DEQ compliance may be required if asbestos is present or suspected. PDEQ's guide says demolishing a single residential building is not covered by the federal asbestos rule, but several buildings torn down as one project are. Call PDEQ at (520) 724-7400 about old cement siding or tar roofing.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Catalina Transfer Station (Pima County)

14425 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85739

Pima County transfer station run by WM of Arizona under contract. Its accepted list names construction debris, concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, furniture and green waste. What else should I know in Marana?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

No franchise hauler found; loads must be covered

We found no Marana Town Code chapter that licenses waste haulers or gives one company the right to haul debris; the business regulations title has no solid waste chapter. The code's hauling rule is about the load: garbage, which the code defines to include debris, can't ride in an open vehicle unless it is in a closed container or a covered cargo area. Pima County separately says waste haulers need county DEQ licenses before operating in the county.

A free Town clean-up trailer, with conditions

Marana will drop off a trailer with hand tools to haul away blight, litter or plant growth at no cost. You must live in town limits and either have an open code enforcement case or show a hardship such as no transportation or tools. Request it at least 72 hours ahead. The page doesn't say whether shed debris counts.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

How much does shed removal cost in Marana?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Pima County, lower if it's already taken apart. Vista Clean lists general loads from $150 for a quarter trailer to $450 for a full trailer, with heavy material like concrete costing more. Hero Junk Removal says its firm quote includes labor and disposal. Add the Town's $150 permit to any total.

Where can I haul the debris myself?

Catalina Transfer Station on Oracle Road takes construction debris for $27.60 per vehicle under a ton. Los Reales on Tucson's southeast side charges $18 for a covered load under 2,000 pounds plus a $2 fee. Marana Regional Landfill takes construction debris but doesn't post homeowner rates; call 800-963-4776.

Where can a metal shed go?

Los Reales Recycling Center takes scrap metal free, including metal fencing without concrete posts. Catalina Transfer Station takes scrap metal at its residential rate, though its note says no fencing of any type.

What about the concrete slab?

Marana Regional Landfill says it accepts inert material, including concrete, sand, rock and asphalt. Catalina Transfer Station also lists concrete and bricks. Tank's Ina Road site takes inert material too, but call (520) 744-7826 to confirm broken concrete counts.

My shed has power. What changes?

The site plan for a demolition permit must show utility locations, so mark the circuit before you apply. Marana's guide doesn't say whether removing a shed circuit needs its own electrical permit; ask Development Services at (520) 382-2600.

Will the crew empty the shed first?

Vista Clean says it clears the contents and the structure in the same visit. Junk King and Hero haul household junk too, so ask for one quote that covers both.
