Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Long Beach shed apart and leave the space clean.
We check what Long Beach requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL
Here’s what Long Beach asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.
Yes. The city's demolition bulletin requires a permit to tear down a building, plus a recycling plan and a deposit of at least $1,712. The 64 sq ft shed exemption covers building one; call 562-570-7648.

Not confirmed. City-serviced homes get 12 free special collections a year for bulky items up to 72 x 48 inches, but no city page says whether shed lumber counts. Call (562) 570-2876.

Others here: 911 Junk California lists $400 to $800+ for shed removal. LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 at booking. The others quote each job.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗
Long Beach's bulletin IB-047 says a demolition permit is required when a building is demolished and removed in its entirety. Before it's issued you need Planning screening, Southern California Edison and Long Beach Energy Resources sign-off for any electric or gas disconnect, a Water Department review, and the health department's vermin release. A licensed demolition contractor with a Long Beach business license pulls the permit. The permit FAQ exempts building a shed of 64 sq ft or less and 8 ft or less with no wiring or plumbing, but it says nothing about tearing one down.

A Construction and Demolition Management Plan applies to all demolition projects of any valuation. The refundable deposit is 3% of project value or $56,999, whichever is less, with a $1,712 minimum, plus a $230 non-refundable fee for residential projects. At least 65% of the debris must be diverted. Within 90 days you submit recycle receipts from a certified mixed-debris facility; receipts marked refuse, waste, MSW or trash, and hauler receipts, are not accepted.

South Coast AQMD must receive a demolition notification, with a copy to the permit center, and its Rule 1403 requires an asbestos survey by a certified consultant before any demolition. Before pulling posts or footings, contact DigAlert (811); utilities only mark lines they own, so a buried feed to the shed won't be marked.

Not confirmed. Each City-serviced account gets 12 free special collections a year for furniture, appliances and other oversized or bulky items, up to 8 large items or 25 bags or bundles per pickup. Items can't exceed 72 x 48 inches, and crews won't enter private property. The city's pages don't say whether shed lumber, siding or shingles count. If you have a demolition permit, debris must go to a certified recycler anyway to get your deposit back.

Long Beach requires anyone who removes or hauls refuse for hire in the city to first get a refuse transportation permit from Public Works; holding the permit makes the company a non-exclusive City franchisee. The code's only exemptions are City employees and contractors on City-funded programs. The City's C&D page says hauling refuse, recyclables or organics in Long Beach must be done by a permitted hauler or self-hauled, and that using a hauler not on the City's list can forfeit the C&D recycling deposit. The current list has eight companies, including EDCO, Athens, Republic Services, WM and CR&R; no junk-removal or shed company is on it. Self-haul isn't defined for demolition debris, and no page says whether a contractor hauling debris from its own teardown counts. A removal company like Shed Gone that charges to haul shed debris appears to need the permit. Questions: Long Beach Recycles, (562) 570-2876, or the C&D program, 562-570-7648 or construct-demo@longbeach.gov.

Before Long Beach issues a demolition permit, the Health and Human Services Department checks that the building is free of vermin, and you bring its release to the Development Permit Center. Sheds often house rats, so book this early. Health is at 2525 Grand Ave., (562) 570-7600.
The Planning Bureau screens every demolition permit, including sites in a historic district or the Coastal Zone. Check your address before you set a date; Planning is at (562) 570-6194.
Old paint, thinners, weed killer, motor oil and pool chemicals can't go in carts or debris loads. Long Beach residents can drop them free at the EDCO Environmental Collection Center in Signal Hill on scheduled Saturdays (Oct. 24, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12, 2026) or at the Gaffey Street S.A.F.E. Center in San Pedro on weekends.

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.
Get a shed removal quote ↗A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.
Start a quote from photos ↗911 Junk California is the only company here that publishes a shed price: $400 to $800 or more. LoadUp shows a $94 to $1,559 range and sets the price at booking. Extractors publishes general trailer-load prices, and Evict Your Junk and Junk Tigers quote each job. None of them says its price covers the city permit, the C&D deposit or an asbestos survey.
Its pricing page says shed demolition and removal ranges from $400 to $800 or more, depending on size and materials. General junk loads are priced separately by truck volume.
The shed page gives a $94 to $1,559 range that depends on size, condition, location and permits. The real price is shown when you book, and it's lower for a shed that's already taken apart. Its national shed page says removal typically starts around $1,555; its local pages say an already-disassembled shed costs less.
These are the other companies’ own advertised prices, checked October 8, 2026. They are not our prices and not a citywide average.
When you compare quotes, ask for one written total that covers dismantling, hauling, disposal fees and cleanup, and ask whether the contents, the floor and the slab or footings are included. What shed removal costs ↗
