SHED REMOVAL IN CAPE CORAL

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Cape Coral shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Cape Coral requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

Here’s what Cape Coral asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Cape Coral rules at a glance

Haul it yourself

Lee County Resource Recovery Facility (Buckingham). Construction and demolition material $70.25 per ton, $15 minimum (FY26 County rates). Pay with exact change, a debit or credit card, or mobile pay.

Others here: 239 Junk Removal says shed removal starts at $200 and can reach $2,000 for big sheds. LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 in Lee County. Others quote each job.

Do I need a permit?Cape Coral demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

A Miscellaneous Demo permit for a shed

The City's guideline says the Miscellaneous Demo permit is used for demolition of any and all structures on a residential property except the whole home. Apply online through the City's CSS portal with a site plan. A general, building, residential or demolition specialty contractor can apply, or the owner as an owner-builder. The job closes with a final inspection.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Cape Coral pick up shed debris?

No. Waste Pro's weekly bulk pickup takes furniture and small building scraps such as paneling cut to 2 by 2 feet, but not construction and demolition debris, roofing, fence sections, contractor waste or any item over 150 pounds. The City's drop-off at 1200 Kismet Parkway refuses construction debris even when a resident made it, and its rules name lumber and metal from building or remodeling work. Call 311 with questions.

Drop-off and recycling options

What else should I know in Cape Coral?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Only the franchise hauler or a licensed cleanup contractor may haul construction refuse

Cape Coral's refuse code says no one other than the City's franchise hauler (Waste Pro) or a City-licensed construction clean-up contractor may collect or dispose of refuse from homes. During demolition or partial demolition of any structure, the owner must contract with one of the two. The code also asks for a construction refuse container (a roll-off or a demolition bag) on site before demolition starts. It doesn't say whether a crew that tears down one shed and hauls it in its own truck needs that license or a container.

Owl and tortoise affidavit with every demo permit

Cape Coral's demo permit guideline lists a Burrowing Owl Gopher Tortoise Affidavit as always required, and the City may add an environmental review. Look for burrows near the shed before anyone drives a truck across the yard.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

How much does shed removal cost in Cape Coral?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, 239 Junk Removal says shed removal starts at $200 and runs up to $2,000 for larger, more complex sheds, with a slab adding cost. LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Lee County, lower if it's already taken apart.

Where can I haul shed lumber myself?

Lee County's Buckingham campus at 10500 Buckingham Rd. takes construction and demolition debris for $70.25 a ton with a $15 minimum, and sorts it for recycling. It's open weekdays 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday mornings. Tarp the load; the County takes only waste generated in Lee County.

What about old asphalt shingles?

Keep them out of a Buckingham load. The County stopped taking asphalt shingles there and sends them to the Lee/Hendry Landfill in Felda ($35 a ton) or to an approved private C&D yard.

Where can a concrete slab go?

Lee County lists DS&S Construction Materials on Jacksonville Street in Fort Myers as a clean concrete disposal site, with the rate set on site. Call 239-454-4999, extension 200, first.

What about paint and chemicals stored in the shed?

Leave them out of the debris. Cape Coral sends household chemicals, paint and liquids to Lee County's Topaz Court facility at 6441 Topaz Ct., where residents drop them off at no charge.

Do I need an asbestos survey for an old shed?

Usually not for a single home. Florida DEP says the federal asbestos rule excludes isolated residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units. Old cement-board siding or roofing still deserves care, so ask the crew how they handle it.
