SHED REMOVAL IN MIRAMAR

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Miramar shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Miramar requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Miramar ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

03

We haul it away.

We confirm a date, take the shed down, load every piece and leave the spot clean.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Miramar asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Miramar rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Yes, in most cases. Miramar issues demolition permits to contractors or owner-builders, and the fee is 1.75% of the job cost plus a $75 application fee.

City pickup

Partly. Monthly bulk takes lumber cut to six feet or less from normal household activity. Roofing and concrete aren't collected, and demolition debris goes to Waste Pro.

Haul it yourself

Broward County Landfill. Construction and demolition material $100 per ton ($10 minimum); residential customers in passenger vehicles $10 per vehicle; pickup trucks charged per ton. Rates effective January 1, 2026.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Broward. College HUNKS lists $99 to $699 junk loads. Others quote from photos.

Do I need a permit?Miramar demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

Who can pull a demolition permit

Miramar's demolition package says permits go to licensed contractors registered with the Building Division, or to an owner-builder for a home they own with homestead exemption, bringing photo ID and proof of ownership. If you hire a contractor, the contractor must pull the permit. The package asks for a boundary survey, the Broward asbestos certificate, the HOA affidavit and the Waste Pro debris affidavit. Call the Building Division at 954-602-3200.

03

The $7,500 exemption has limits

Since July 1, 2026, owners of single-family homes can ask for an exemption for work under $7,500. It never covers electrical, plumbing, gas or structural work, or homes in a flood hazard area, and you must send a written request first. The City doesn't say whether a shed teardown qualifies.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Miramar pick up shed debris?

Only a little, if you take the shed down yourself. Bulk is collected once a month and includes lumber and fencing no longer than six feet, but it must come from normal household activity. Roofing, tile, concrete, bricks, paint and chemicals aren't collected. Up to 3 cubic yards of contractor waste is taken only with an active City permit; otherwise the contractor removes it. Demolition debris under a permit must go out with Waste Pro. Call 954-602-HELP (4357) with questions.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

What else should I know in Miramar?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Only the franchised hauler, Waste Pro, may haul demolition debris

Miramar's City Code grants its solid waste franchise to Waste Pro. Anyone who collects, transports or disposes of construction and demolition debris from the city against that agreement, without City authorization where required, faces code enforcement fines. The demolition permit package spells it out: debris from demolition work must be removed by Waste Pro, and the applicant signs an affidavit agreeing to contact Waste Pro for all construction and demolition debris. The sources don't say whether this covers a removal crew hauling one shed, or an owner hauling debris in their own car.

Paint and chemicals: first-Saturday drop-off

Bulk pickup won't take paint, insecticides or chemicals left in a shed. Miramar holds a free drop-off on the first Saturday of each month, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Waste Pro facility at 17302 Pines Blvd. Bring a driver's license and proof of Miramar residency.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

How much does shed removal cost in Miramar?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Broward County and says a shed already taken apart costs less. College HUNKS lists $99 to $699 for general junk loads by truck size.

Can I take shed debris to the Broward County Landfill?

Yes. Miramar's own bulk page points Broward residents to the landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave, open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cars and trucks with beds 6 feet or shorter pay $10 a load. Construction and demolition material is otherwise $100 a ton ($10 minimum). Bring a driver's license.

Where else can lumber or slab pieces go?

Broward County lists Waste Connections' Pembroke Park Recycling & Transfer (1899 SW 31 St, 954-989-9715) and WM Recycling in Davie (3250 SW 50 Ave, 954-453-1419) as taking construction debris from residents. Neither posts a rate, so call first.

Where can a metal shed go?

SA Recycling at 3700 SW 47th Ave in Davie buys steel, aluminum and tin from individuals, Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday until noon. Call 954-990-4331 for prices.

Do I need an asbestos survey for an old shed?

Usually not, but there's a form. Broward County says homes with four or fewer units are exempt from the asbestos rules, yet you still file a free Statement of Responsibilities Regarding Asbestos online to get the certificate your permit needs.

Is the slab included when a shed comes down?

Not always. XS Trash says slab or foundation removal isn't automatically part of a shed job. Miramar's bulk pickup won't take concrete, so ask whether the slab and anchors are in the price.
