SHED REMOVAL IN PEMBROKE PINES

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Pembroke Pines shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Pembroke Pines requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Pembroke Pines ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Pembroke Pines asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Pembroke Pines rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Yes. Pembroke Pines requires a building permit to remove or demolish any building or part of a structure. Its fee schedule lists $121.61 per structure for a single-family demolition.

City pickup

Partly. Bulk pickup takes lumber and wood you tore out yourself, up to 10 cubic yards per pickup. Contractor debris and glass aren't collected.

Haul it yourself

Broward County Landfill. Construction and demolition material $100 per ton ($10 minimum); residential customers in passenger vehicles $10 per vehicle; pickup trucks charged per ton. Rates effective January 1, 2026.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Broward. Sunshine State (from $99) lists junk loads. Others quote from photos.

Do I need a permit?Pembroke Pines demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

A permit for any demolition, with no shed exemption

The Building Department says you need a permit to remove or demolish any building or part of a structure. The only work it lists as generally permit-free is painting and flooring, and the Florida Building Code has no size exemption for sheds. Owner-builders may pull permits for a one- or two-family home they own and live in. Call (954) 435-6502 with questions.

02

What the permit costs

The fee schedule adopted October 1, 2024 lists demolition of a single-family residential building at $121.61 per structure per trade, and a $100 submittal deposit for residential accessory structures. Fees rise with the Consumer Price Index each October 1, and state and county surcharges are added.

03

Wiring and digging

The city says electrical and gas work may only be done by licensed professionals, so have an electrician cut off a shed circuit. Pulling posts, piers or ground anchors counts as digging: contact Sunshine 811 first.

04

A Broward asbestos form comes before the demolition permit

Broward County asks anyone planning to demolish or renovate a structure to file a Statement of Responsibilities Regarding Asbestos online. Homes with four or fewer units are exempt from the federal and county asbestos rules themselves and pay no fee, but must still file the statement to get the Certificate of Submittal needed for the building permit application. The Pembroke Pines pages read for this draft don't mention it, so ask the Building Department, (954) 435-6502, whether a shed teardown needs it. Broward's asbestos helpline is 954-519-0340.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Pembroke Pines pick up shed debris?

Some of it, if you take the shed down yourself. Eastern Waste Systems collects bulk waste twice a month, up to 10 cubic yards per pickup, and its list includes lumber and wood that wasn't generated by a contractor. Put it at the curb before 7 a.m., at least 3 feet from mailboxes, trees and cars. Contractor-generated debris, glass, paint and chemicals aren't collected, and contractor debris left at the curb can be removed for $25 a cubic yard. Two extra pickups a year are allowed for bigger piles; after that it's $15 per cubic yard over the limit. Call EWS at (954) 543-9800.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Built for hurricane winds

The city follows the 2023 Florida Building Code with Broward County's provisions and sits in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone. Sheds here are typically tied down to slabs or ground anchors, and those come out with the shed.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

Other companies’ advertised prices

Only LoadUp publishes a shed price here: $94 to $1,559 in Broward County, set when you book. Sunshine State (from $99) publishes general junk-load prices, not shed prices. XS Trash and Battle's quote each shed from photos. None of these prices says it includes the city's demolition permit.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

How much does shed removal cost in Pembroke Pines?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Broward County and says a shed that's already taken apart costs less. Sunshine State (from $99) publishes general junk-load prices.

Can I take shed debris to the Broward County Landfill?

Yes, if it comes from Broward County. The landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave is open Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and takes construction and demolition material at $100 a ton ($10 minimum). Residents in a passenger vehicle pay $10 a load, and pickup trucks are charged by the ton. Bring a current driver's license.

Where else can I drop off lumber, roofing or slab pieces?

Broward County lists private sites that take construction debris from residents, including WM Recycling on Oaks Road in Davie (3250 SW 50 Ave, 954-453-1419) and Waste Connections' Pembroke Park Recycling & Transfer (1899 SW 31 St, 954-989-9715). Neither posts a public rate, so call first.

Where can a metal shed go?

SA Recycling at 3700 SW 47th Ave in Davie buys steel, aluminum and tin from individuals as well as companies, Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday until noon. Call 954-990-4331 for prices.

Do I need an asbestos survey for an old shed?

Usually not for a single home. Florida DEP says the federal asbestos rule excludes isolated residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units. Old cement-board siding or roofing still deserves care, so ask the crew how they handle it.

Is the slab included when a shed comes down?

Not always. XS Trash says slab or foundation removal isn't automatically part of a shed job and may be quoted separately. Ask any crew whether the slab, pavers or anchors are in the price.
