SHED REMOVAL IN BROKEN ARROW

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Broken Arrow shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Broken Arrow requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Broken Arrow ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Broken Arrow asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Broken Arrow rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Plan on one. Broken Arrow's fee manual lists a $90 residential demolition permit. The City's 200-square-foot shed exemption applies to building a shed, not tearing one down; ask 918-259-2400.

City pickup

Probably not. City crews won't pick up roofing or wood from remodeling or fencing, and paid bulky pickup refuses concrete and dirt. Call Solid Waste at 918-259-6570 before setting shed lumber out.

Haul it yourself

Quarry Landfill (WM). Not published.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: A2Z Junk Removal lists $375 to $650 to tear down and haul an empty shed. LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Tulsa County, and Local Boyz cites $200 to $2,500.

Do I need a permit?Broken Arrow demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

The demolition permit

Broken Arrow adopts the 2018 International Residential Code as amended by the state, with permit fees set in the City's Manual of Fees. The FY2027 manual, in effect October 1, 2026, lists a residential or commercial demolition permit at $90, plus a $5.15 data retention fee and state fees of $4 and $0.50. Work started without a permit costs $155. Apply through the City's self-service portal or at City Hall, 220 S. First St.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Broken Arrow pick up shed debris?

Probably not, so call first. The City's list of items crews don't pick up includes roofing, materials or wood from remodeling, and privacy or other fencing. Paid bulky pickup costs $20 a cubic yard with a 2-yard minimum and 8-yard maximum, and refuses concrete and dirt; it doesn't mention shed lumber. The code also says city trash service doesn't include debris from construction or repair work. Call Solid Waste and Recycling at 918-259-6570.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Quarry Landfill (WM)

13720 E 46th St N, Tulsa, OK 74116

WM's landfill on the northeast side of the metro. A regional recycling directory lists it as taking no hazardous material or liquids. Neither it nor WM posts a list of materials or rules for self-hauled construction debris.

Fees: Not published.

Before you go: Call the landfill at 918-439-7835 for hours, accepted items and self-haul rates before you go.

M.e.t. Broken Arrow Recycling Center

302 N Elm Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012

Tulsa Indoor Dump (Tulsa Recycle & Transfer)

1150 N Peoria Ave, Tulsa, OK 74106

Indoor transfer station open to the public, run by American Waste Control. It takes household and commercial waste and construction and demolition material, with a pickup-truck dump area. It refuses asbestos, hazardous waste, liquid paint and compressed gas cylinders.

Fees: $55 minimum per load (up to 2,000 lbs.), then $0.55 per 20 lbs. Debit and credit cards only.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; arrive before closing to unload. Closed Sunday and major holidays. Call (918) 382-0139.

American Environmental Landfill

207 N 177th W Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063

Fees: Not published. No cash or checks; card and ID are held at the scale on loads over 2,000 lbs.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hand loads by 4:30) and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (hand loads by 2:30); closed Sunday. Call 918-245-7786 for rates.

What else should I know in Broken Arrow?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Haulers need a Broken Arrow trash hauler license

Broken Arrow has no franchised hauler: Code §12-3 lets any person go into the business of hauling garbage, trash and refuse, but they must get a license from Community Development and pay an annual fee. The FY2027 Manual of Fees lists the trash service (refuse) license at $238, renewed each April 30. Trucks hauling construction debris need tall bed sides and a tarp (§12-4). The code doesn't say whether a removal company hauling its own teardown debris needs the license; ask Permitting and Licensing, 918-259-2400 ext. 2350.

Two free landfill passes a year

Customers of the City's curbside trash service can request two landfill passes a year online. Each comes as a QR code good for unloading household waste free at the WM Quarry Landfill, 13720 E. 46th St. N.; bring your driver's license. Passes expire at the end of the calendar year.

Scrap metal drop-off downtown

The M.e.t. recycling center at 302 N. Elm Pl., north of the railroad tracks, is the only M.e.t. center in the metro that takes scrap metal. That makes it the handiest drop-off for a dismantled metal shed.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

How much does shed removal cost in Broken Arrow?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, A2Z Junk Removal lists $375 to $450 for a small shed, $475 to $550 for a 10x12 and $575 to $650 for a 12x20, for an empty shed, at the same price in every city it serves. Can I use my landfill pass for shed debris?

Maybe. The passes cover household waste at the WM Quarry Landfill, and the City's list of excluded items doesn't mention lumber or shingles, but it doesn't name construction debris as allowed either. Call the landfill at 918-439-7835 before loading up.

Where else can I take shed debris myself?

Tulsa Indoor Dump at 1150 N. Peoria Ave. in Tulsa takes construction and demolition material for $55 minimum per load up to 2,000 pounds; cards only, (918) 382-0139. American Environmental Landfill in Sand Springs takes C&D too but doesn't post rates; call 918-245-7786.

What do I do with a metal shed?

Take the panels and frame to the M.e.t. center at 302 N. Elm Pl., open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is the only M.e.t. center that accepts scrap metal.

Will the crew take the shed down or just haul it?

A2Z, Local Boyz, Cleanup Crew, Swift and Haulaways all say they tear sheds down and haul the debris; A2Z also pulls anchors and leaves the slab unless you ask. JunkMasters lists shed demolition among its services but has no shed page.

Do I need to call 811 before pulling posts or footings?

If you're digging, yes. Notify OKIE811 before you dig out piers, posts or footings so buried lines can be marked. Locate requests are valid for 14 calendar days.
