SHED REMOVAL IN EL PASO

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your El Paso shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what El Paso requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your El Paso ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what El Paso asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

El Paso rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Likely yes. El Paso's code requires a permit to demolish any building or structure and names no shed exemption for demolition. Confirm with the One Stop Shop at (915) 212-0104.

City pickup

Partly. A paid special pickup ($35 for up to 5 cubic yards, plus tax) takes lumber and doors but not concrete or rocks. Collection stations take no demolition material.

Haul it yourself

Greater El Paso Landfill (City of El Paso). No rate on the city's page. El Paso Matters (June 2026) reported $16 per trip for county residents who aren't city water customers.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in El Paso County. Junk Hauling, the one local company listed, quotes each job by phone.

Do I need a permit?El Paso demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

Every structure needs its own permit

El Paso City Code 18.02.105.1 says anyone who wants to demolish a building or structure must first get a permit; the only exception is for government agencies. Section 18.02.105.5 adds that every separate building or structure on a lot needs a permit. The city's permit guide exempts building an accessory storage building under 200 square feet, but it doesn't say that covers removing one. No demolition fee is posted online.

02

Wiring and digging

The same code section requires a permit to remove electrical, gas or plumbing systems, and trade permits go to separate subcontractors. When a permit involves digging, the city requires a 'one call' (811) before work starts; Texas law asks for at least two business days' notice, even in your own backyard.

03

How debris must sit on site

City code says demolition debris must go in roll-offs, dumpsters or approved containers. Pieces too big to fit can stay loose if wind-blown debris is controlled. A contractor's rock, concrete and brick may sit in piles on the lot, but must be taken to a landfill or recycler within 72 hours of finishing.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will El Paso pick up shed debris?

Only through a paid special pickup. Call Environmental Services at (915) 212-6000, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. It costs $35 for up to 5 cubic yards and $7 for each extra yard, plus tax. Accepted items include lumber, doors, carpet and pallets; dirt, rocks and concrete are not taken, nor is commercial material. Set items at the curb by 6 a.m. on pickup day, at least 5 feet from bins, mailboxes, fences and parked cars.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Greater El Paso Landfill (City of El Paso)

2600 Darrington Rd, Clint, TX 79928

City-run landfill. The city sends trash collected at its drop-off stations here. It prohibits liquids, automotive fluids, PCB items, hazardous waste and regulated asbestos-containing materials. The city's page doesn't list demolition debris by name.

Fees: No rate on the city's page. El Paso Matters (June 2026) reported $16 per trip for county residents who aren't city water customers.

Before you go: Open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Haulers need a city hauler permit. Call (915) 212-6000 to confirm the rate and that demolition debris is accepted.

Camino Real Landfill (Waste Connections)

1000 Camino Real Blvd, Sunland Park, NM 88063

Private landfill that takes municipal solid waste and special waste from residential and commercial customers in the region. It takes no liquid, hazardous or medical waste.

Fees: Not published; the rate table on its page belongs to another Waste Connections site.

Before you go: Its FAQ lists hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Call 575-589-9440 for rates and whether it takes demolition loads from the public.

Citizen Collection Stations (City of El Paso)

Five sites: 4501 Hondo Pass Dr; 2492 Harrison Ave; 121 Atlantic Rd; 1034 Pendale Rd; 3500-3516 Confederate Dr

Resident drop-off for trash, bulky items, recyclables and household hazardous waste. No construction or demolition material is accepted, so it suits a shed's contents and old paint, not the shed itself.

Fees: No charge is published. Residents only, with a pass, a current water bill and a matching ID; four visits a month.

Before you go: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Single-axle trailers up to 8 feet only. Call (915) 212-6000 to check weather closures.

What else should I know in El Paso?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

No franchise for demolition debris, but haulers need a city permit

El Paso has not granted an exclusive franchise for construction or demolition debris, though its code reserves the right to. Anyone who generates that debris must hire a permitted hauler or haul it themselves. A hauler permit for collection service is issued only with a franchise agreement with the city. A contractor or handyman working at the home can count as a self-transporter if the truck is factory-unmodified (class 1 to 3) and pulls a non-dump trailer. The city defines demolition material to include wood, siding, asphalt shingles and concrete.

Historic districts need a separate demolition review

In a historic district or on a landmark property, demolition goes through the Historic Preservation Office's Certificate of Demolition. Before you apply, you must send notices to the mayor and council, the county historical commission and registered neighborhood associations, and the Historic Landmark Commission reviews the case. Call 915-212-1567.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few more answers.

What does shed removal cost in El Paso?

Shed Gone prices each shed from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included. Among other companies, LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in El Paso County, lower if it's already taken apart. If you tear it down yourself, the city's special pickup is $35 for up to 5 cubic yards plus $7 per extra yard and tax.

Can I take shed lumber to a Citizen Collection Station?

No. The stations accept no construction or demolition material, household or commercial. They are for city residents only (no contractors), with a pass, a current water bill and a matching ID, up to four visits a month, and trailers no longer than 8 feet.

Can I haul it to the landfill myself?

The city's Greater El Paso Landfill at 2600 Darrington Rd in Clint is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The city doesn't post a public rate; El Paso Matters reported $16 per trip for county residents who aren't El Paso Water customers. Haulers need a city hauler permit to use it.

What about the concrete slab?

City pickup won't take concrete. City code lets a contractor stack broken concrete on the lot, but it must go to a landfill or recycler within 72 hours of finishing. Call the landfill or a recycler before you bring slab chunks, since no El Paso facility posts a concrete rate.

My house is in a historic district. Does that change anything?

Yes. The city's permit guide says any removal or demolition on a historic property must be reviewed by city staff first, even when no building permit is needed. Full demolitions need a Certificate of Demolition from the Historic Preservation Office (915-212-1567).
