SHED REMOVAL IN LEANDER

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Leander shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Leander requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Leander ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

03

We haul it away.

We confirm a date, take the shed down, load every piece and leave the spot clean.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Leander asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Leander rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Yes. Leander lists demolition among work that needs a permit, and its fee schedule shows $100 for a demolition permit plus a $25 technology fee. Apply through the Development Hub; call 512-528-2733.

City pickup

Not confirmed: Clawson's paid bulky pickup covers furniture and appliances by bag tag, and neither the City nor Clawson lists lumber or shed debris. Call Clawson at 512-930-5490.

Haul it yourself

Williamson County Landfill (WM). Car, SUV or pickup without a trailer: $45 plus fees. Brush: $9.50 per cubic yard plus fees. Untarped loads: $30. Safety vest: $5.31 if you don't bring one.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Williamson County. Duke's quotes from a photo; Wilco Junk, Junk Monkey and College HUNKS price by load size.

Do I need a permit?Leander demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

A shed teardown needs a $100 demolition permit

The City says a permit is required before starting construction in city limits and lists demolition and accessory buildings among the work that needs one. Its fee schedule, updated October 2, 2025, lists a $100 demolition permit; applications costing $250 or less add a $25 technology fee. Properties in the ETJ outside city limits need permits only for signs and water or wastewater connections.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Leander pick up shed debris?

Not confirmed. Al Clawson Disposal handles Leander's trash. Bulky items like washers, dryers, water heaters and furniture are picked up for a fee through its Bag Tag Program: $4.99 a tag, up to 50 pounds an item and 15 tags per address per service day. Neither the City nor Clawson lists lumber, roofing or shed debris, so call Clawson at 512-930-5490 before setting any out.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

Williamson County Landfill (WM)

600 Landfill Road, Hutto, TX 78634

County-owned regional landfill operated by WM. Its page posts residential and brush rates but no list of accepted materials. At least one nearby city's recycling page points residents there for lumber and plywood.

Fees: Car, SUV or pickup without a trailer: $45 plus fees. Brush: $9.50 per cubic yard plus fees. Untarped loads: $30. Safety vest: $5.31 if you don't bring one.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hand unloading 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon. Tarp the load and wear a safety vest. Call 512-759-8881 to confirm it takes shed debris and trailer rates.

Duke's Junk Recycling (Burnet Road yard)

6546 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78757

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment or minimum; unload yourself. A second yard is at 20301 Hog Eye Rd, Manor. Call (512) 520-7495.

Texas Disposal Systems Landfill

3016 FM 1327, Creedmoor, TX 78610

Fees: Construction and demolition plant: small personal loads $12.50 per cubic yard. General public car or pickup loads: $66 minimum plus $12 per yard over 5.5 yards, plus fees. Clean concrete, rock and gravel: no charge. Untreated lumber: $10 per cubic yard ($20 minimum). Scrap metal: no charge. Unsecured loads: $35.

What else should I know in Leander?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

Roll-off haulers need a City franchise or permit

Al Clawson Disposal holds Leander's exclusive contract for trash and recycling collection. Anyone furnishing a roll-off or other commercial container to haul junk or construction debris needs a non-exclusive City franchise, or a single-site permit good for up to 90 days. The City lists 18 authorized providers, including Clawson, Texas Disposal Systems, WM and Junk King Austin. The code doesn't say whether a crew that loads debris into its own truck counts as a temporary service.

Contractors register before the permit issues

Leander processes every building permit online through its Development Hub. The City says all contractors and subcontractors working in Leander must be registered before a permit is issued.

Spring and fall cleanup events

The City holds residential cleanup events each spring and fall at the Public Works facility, 607 Municipal Drive, for non-hazardous waste from Leander residents. The City page doesn't say whether lumber or shed debris is accepted; check the Public Works notice before you load up.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.
