SHED REMOVAL IN LEHI

We take it down.
We haul it away.

How it works ↗

Shed removal is all we do. Wood, metal or resin, falling apart or still standing, we take your Lehi shed apart and leave the space clean.

  • Taking the shed apart: roof, walls, doors and floor
  • The stuff inside, if you want it gone too
  • Loading, haul-away and disposal, with metal and clean wood recycled where it’s accepted
  • The slab, gravel pad or footings, if you want them out
  • Sweeping and raking the spot clean

We check what Lehi requires for your shed before any work starts, and any power to the shed must be disconnected by a licensed electrician before removal day. The local rules are below.

01

Send a photo.

Show us the shed and the way out, and add your Lehi ZIP code. No payment, and it isn’t a booking.

02

Get our price.

We look at your photos and send our price, what it includes and the dates we have.

03

We haul it away.

We confirm a date, take the shed down, load every piece and leave the spot clean.

PERMITS & DIY DISPOSAL

Doing it yourself, or just checking the rules?

Here’s what Lehi asks for before a shed comes down, what city pickup will take, and where you can drop off the debris yourself.

Lehi rules at a glance

Demolition permit

Not published. Lehi posts no demolition permit page or fee; its shed checklist covers building one over 200 sq ft. Ask Building and Inspections at 385-201-1035.

City pickup

Partly. Lehi's $350 five-day dumpster for City garbage customers bars concrete, rocks and dirt, not lumber. A free yearly pass covers three loads at North Pointe's transfer station.

Haul it yourself

North Pointe Solid Waste Transfer Station. Residents of participating cities pay $13 for mixed waste of 500 lb or less, $26 for 501 to 1,000 lb, and $43.50 a ton above that; non-participating towns pay double. Construction and demolition waste: $37 a ton. Clean concrete: $12 a ton; with rebar: $37 a ton. Uncovered loads are charged double.

What it costs

Shed Gone: a price from your photos, with teardown, haul-away and cleanup included.

Others here: LoadUp shows $94 to $1,559 for a shed in Utah County. Jack's Junk Removal has an $87 minimum, priced by volume; others quote each job.

Do I need a permit?Lehi demolition rules, utilities and property checks.

The requirements depend on the structure, the work and the property’s jurisdiction. These are the official starting points for checking your job. Confirm with the building office before teardown day. How shed demolition permits work ↗

01

Building permits go through Lehi Building and Inspections

Lehi's Building and Inspections Department issues all building permits in the City, through its online submittal portal. Its posted checklist for a detached garage or shed applies only to one over 200 square feet, and permit fees are set by project valuation, starting at $23.50 for work valued up to $500. Nothing on the City's pages or fee schedule addresses tearing a shed down.

02

State asbestos, notification and dust rules

Utah's Division of Air Quality requires an asbestos inspection by a state-certified inspector before demolition, except for homes of four or fewer units built on or after January 1, 1992. Wrecking load-bearing members also needs a demolition notification ($50 base fee) and a 10-working-day wait, and any demolition in Utah County needs a dust control plan. DAQ doesn't say how this applies to a small backyard shed; call 801-536-4000.

Can I dispose of it myself?City pickup rules, drop-off options and fees for shed debris.

Will Lehi pick up shed debris?

Not at the curb. Lehi's garbage service (collected by Waste Management) is one can and one recycling can for $16.94 a month, and there is no bulky-item pickup on the City's page. For larger loads the City points residents to North Pointe in Lindon and its free yearly dump pass, or the $350 dumpster rental. Green waste also goes to North Pointe.

Drop-off and recycling options

If you’d rather haul it yourself, sort the load first: clean wood, metal, roofing, concrete and household contents often go to different places or cost different amounts. Call ahead before hiring a trailer. What can be recycled ↗

North Pointe Solid Waste Transfer Station

2000 W 200 S, Lindon, UT 84042

The North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District's transfer station takes mixed waste, which it defines as household trash, metal items, furniture, appliances and all unsorted debris, and lists a separate construction and demolition rate. It recycles clean concrete without rebar and takes green waste.

Fees: Residents of participating cities pay $13 for mixed waste of 500 lb or less, $26 for 501 to 1,000 lb, and $43.50 a ton above that; non-participating towns pay double. Construction and demolition waste: $37 a ton. Clean concrete: $12 a ton; with rebar: $37 a ton. Uncovered loads are charged double.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bring ID, cover the load, and pay by card or exact cash. Questions: (801) 225-8538.

North Pointe Construction & Demolition Landfill (Fairfield)

799 N 18150 W, Fairfield, UT

North Pointe's landfill for construction and demolition debris, concrete broken smaller than 2 by 2 by 2 feet, asphalt and clean dirt. Large stumps and logs too big for the transfer station go here too.

Fees: Construction and demolition debris $11 a ton, with a $9 minimum for 500 lb or less; concrete $11 a ton; plus a $0.22 a ton state tax and a $5 weigh fee where charged.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; closed weekends. Call (801) 225-8538 before a first trip.

Western Metals Recycling (Provo)

1776 South Colorado Ave, Provo, UT 84606

Scrap yard that buys ferrous scrap (iron and steel) and non-ferrous scrap (aluminum, copper, brass). A metal shed's panels and framing, stripped of wood and plastic, are scrap metal.

Fees: No disposal fee: the yard weighs scrap and pays for it. Prices aren't posted.

Before you go: Open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Steel goes over the truck scale; aluminum is weighed in the warehouse. Call (801) 373-4224.

What else should I know in Lehi?Local notes, and the photos that set the price.

No franchised hauler for demolition debris found; Lehi's garbage contract covers household trash

Lehi's code says every home gets solid waste and recycling service from the City or the contractor it hires (Waste Management collects in Lehi), and makes it unlawful for an owner or agent to remove or dispose of solid waste except under rules set by City Council resolution. The same chapter expects others to haul construction debris: anyone hauling it must cover the load. No exclusive construction-debris hauler or hauler license was found, and the code doesn't say how the garbage rule applies to a crew hauling its own teardown debris.

Photos that explain the job.

  • The whole shed, with the roof, doors and rough dimensions
  • What it sits on: slab, gravel, pavers, skids or blocks
  • The route out: gates, steps, slopes and the narrowest gap
  • Anything stored inside, and any wiring, lights or a water line

Tell us whether the shed has power. A licensed electrician should disconnect and make the circuit safe before teardown. Say which items stay, and whether the slab or footings go too.

Shed Gone

Priced from your photos

A small empty resin shed and a large timber shed on a concrete slab are different jobs, so we don’t publish one number. The price depends on the shed’s size and material, what’s inside, what it sits on, and the route from the shed to the truck.
